Company History

A brief history of the company from its creation more than two decades ago.

How Boston Garage Equipment Evolved to Become a Leading Manufacturer

In 1991, when emissions testing was first introduced into the UK MOT test, Company Directors Ray and Brad saw the opportunity to supply Gas Analysers to testing stations all over the country – and at that moment Analize UK was formed.

Following the successful roll-out of petrol emissions testing, the government further introduced testing for diesel engine vehicles three years later in 1994.  With sales of more than 2,500 emissions packages, Analize became SIRA approved and began to offer service, calibration and maintenance to all their customers using their new team of UKAS accredited, annually audited engineers.

Having built a name as a trusted supplier and service provider, Ray and Brad decided to widen the scope of their business to cover all types of vehicle servicing and MOT testing garage equipment. In 2002, they created Boston Garage Equipment, a subsidiary of the parent company Analize UK Ltd.

Since then, Boston has enlisted the services of several big UK industry names such as RFP, specialists in hydraulics and the manufacture of precision cylinders, and Altimex, specialists in electronics and tasked with the custom design of PLC logic controllers. Other big names such as FESTO, Bosch and BPX - international leaders in design and automation have also played a big part in the growth of the company.

With our solid and long term business relationships, Boston has forged a high quality range of garage equipment and delivers first-class support to all our customers. We are proud to have become one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of vehicle workshop and MOT equipment in the UK, and we are widely regarded as the benchmark for quality in the industry.
