DVSA Updates VT01 Form

Using an old version of the VT01 form could delay applications

The VT01 form needs to be completed by anyone applying to open, run or change an MOT testing station. It is important that the latest form is used as submitting an older version is likely to result in delays to the application process.

The DVSA recently made changes to the form in October and November of 2019 as summarised below:

14 October 2019 Update

  • Application form updated to include a confirmation that the roller brake tester is able to connect to the MOT testing service.

1 November 2019 Update

  • Application form and guidance updated to remove the need for photographic ID and to add in the need for a basic DBS check.

The latest version of the form is available for download from the GOV.UK website along with its guidance notes and 'extra declarations sheets' - parts B, C and D.
